Sounds From The Other City

J. G. Wilkes (Optimo Espacio) added to SFTOC bill

We’ve got more names coming next week, but some we just can’t keep under wraps for that long. Rather than spoil the surprise ourselves, here’s Chris from Night Fantasy with the big reveal:

This is not a drill, this is not hype, this is real life. We are mega psyched to announce that one half of Glasgow discotheque duo Optimo Espacio, J.G Wilkes will be heading down to SFTOC to tear the Pint Pot a new one.

We’ve long been big Optimo fans at Night Fantasy HQ, and after a chat about the festival and a few bottles of wine in Jonnie’s kitchen, we knew this was a party we had to make happen. Now entering their twentieth year, Jonnie Wilkes and partner JD Twitch (Keith McIvor) spent thirteen of those years at the helm of their infamous Sunday party in Glasgow’s Sub Club. But since wrapping up back in 2010 they’ve taken the Optimo sound round the world, and we’re super grateful and real chuffed that Jonnie has agreed to make a stop in Salford on April 30th.

All signs are pointing to a big doo, and many people including festival top boss lady Riv Burns agree. Riv has provided us with this…

Not our words…
