Introducing Creatures, a London five-piece born during the summer of 2016. The sounds of a bygone era: wild nights, spaghetti westerns and bliss-inducing soundtracks. A dramatic backdrop propelled into a modern sound through direct melodic pop structures.
Such was the captivating immediacy of their initial demos, Creatures’ first live outing saw them handpicked to perform at Rough Trade’s recent sold-out 40th anniversary celebration in Paris, in support of Temples, who were then quick to snap the group up as main support on their forthcoming UK/EU tour (full dates of which can be found below).
With festival appearances at End of The Road and Live at Leeds already confirmed, with undoubtedly more to follow, Creatures have hit 2017 running. Their anticipated debut release also beckons; an EP currently in its finishing stages, recorded at Strongroom Studios by Iggy B.
Brought to you by William Yates, lead vocalist, who signals the return of the out-and-out performer, channelling 1950s crooner style elegant vocals, against accompanying heavy and hypnotic desert riffs from William Sherkle, lead guitarist.
Ash Moss heads up their pulsing, hypnotic rhythm section on bass guitar and the inimitable Bobby Voltaire provides drums – all accompanied by multi layered, subtle intricacies from Josh Ambler on percussion, organ and rhythm guitar.
