Revealed: Adult Jazz, Eaves & Bernard + Edith for Now Wave

Returning to Sounds from the Other City (having last made an appearance at Sounds from the Other City 2010 when Hey! Manchester curated a line-up headed by Willy Mason), University of Salford’s Peel Hall space. Seating 360 people while still retaining a gloriously intimate feel, Now Wave are taking over the venue for SFTOC 14. Over the course of the past five year, Now Wave have put one some of the most memorable shows in Manchester, as well as bringing names such as Alt-JSampha and BiPolar Sunshine to SFTOC during our many collaborations with them.

Making their first Manchester appearance, Leeds’ Adult Jazz have been rightly tipped for enormous things. Already one of the hottest names in the music industry, those behind Adult Jazz – it’s difficult to find out exactly who is involved in the project – have become renowned off a series of videos and two incredible songs from their debut single, Am Gone / Springful.

Two of Manchester’s most exciting, experimental young talents, Bernard + Edith have been expanding the boundaries of sound over the past few years. Heavily linked with seminal Salford label SWAYS, they’ve gained recognition from all across the country for their otherworldly, ethereal tracks.
