Following last week’s announcement of our full line-up for Sounds from the Other City 2018, it seems that we weren’t quite telling the truth with that full part. In the intervening 7 days, our promoters have been hard at work to get even more names added to the bill, meaning Sunday 6 May is going to be even better than we possibly imagined.
New additions include some old faces – the Optimo affiliated label So Low signees Happy Meals played SFTOC back in 2016, the same year that Bitowski was working as our artistic director with Faux Queens, while Hesska performed for NTS x SFTOC at Manchester International Festival last summer – as well as a lot of new blood including: Mun Sing, the solo project of Giant Swan’s Harry Wright; the haunted musings of Finnish, Glasgow based artist Maria Rossi aka Cucina Povera: a Grey Lantern yard party from record label Cong Burn; and much more besides. See the full list of names added to SFTOC below:
Fat Out: Mun Sing, Éntha
Grey Lantern: Happy Meals, Cong Burn
Comfortable on a Tightrope: Cucina Povera
Invisible Wind Factory: Bitowski, Hesska
With over 130 acts on the bill, audiences are sure to find a new favourite at this established proving ground for new artists. Take a look at our line up page for who has already been confirmed, or subscribe to our Spotify playlist to have a listen to many of the artists playing this year’s festival.
