3 Days To Go | Last Minute Essentials

SoundsTown Town Hall

With three days until Sounds From the Other City we just wanted to let you know some important information so you can make the most of your day and have the most amount of fun humanly possible. Here are all the logistics you need to know if you’re coming down to SoundsTown this Sunday.

Wristband Exchange
Opens at 2pm – Closes at 9pm.
The wristband exchange is located this year at Carpino Place Showroom (311-313 Chapel St, M3 5JY) AKA SoundsTown Town Hall.

It is next to Co-op and across the road from Salford Cathedral right at the heart of the festival site – as pictured!

if you purchased tickets online, please print out or download your tickets to help speed up the process. Admittance to any venue will not be allowed without a wristband, so please head to the Wristband Exchange before you start your day. Early on, there are also liable to be queues at the exchange – so if you want to see any of the bands towards the beginning of the bill, we advise arriving early.

We strongly advise bringing cash on the day as a lot of bars and traders do not have card facilities. There are also limited cash machines on site, often with large queues and a shortage of available funds!

There are food vendors situated across the site with main hubs at Regent Trading Estate, Hot Bed Press, fivefourstudios, Bexley Square and Islington Mill. These will all be taking cash on the day as well.

Stage Times

If you want to plan your day, a clashfinder is available here, and a site map is available here. Jump in.

Individually Ticketed Events

Access to the following events is via separate individual tickets

The individual ticketing is in place due to limited capacity in both spaces. To get into these performances, you will need an additional ticket that must be picked up at the wristband exchange. These are free of charge, but are liable to go very quickly.

Stage Capacities & Running Orders

Entry to all stages are subject to capacity and line-ups and running times are all subject to change. Keep up to date on Twitter and Instagram – @SFTOC. If you’re taking a picture of anything, be a pal and tag it with #SFTOC.

We look forward to seeing you on Sunday May 6th for Salford’s annual celebration of New Music, performance and art!

Sounds tickets have sold faster than ever before – get yours from here: and also in person from Siop Shop, Common, Font Chorlton & Piccadilly Records. They’re gonna be all gone within the next couple of days – don’t miss out.

With over 130 acts on the bill, audiences are sure to find a new favourite at this established proving ground for new artists. Take a look at our line up page for who is playing, or subscribe to our Spotify playlist to have a listen to many of the artists playing this year’s festival.
