With tickets for our pre-sale moving incredibly quickly, we’ve now opened general sale for the Sounds from the Other City Quindecennial. Capacity is limited to 1,500 – half of last year’s event – and we’re expecting for tickets to sell out well in advance of the big day, Sunday 5 May.
2019 sees Sounds From the Other City (SFTOC) celebrate its 15th year in unique style, unlike anything seen before on May Bank Holiday Sunday – or any other Sunday for that matter. Roughly as infrequently as an eclipse of Saturn’s rings, or as the cicada swarms in the American deep south, or as Boatinni’s Comet comes into Earth’s orbit, Sunday May 5th sees us celebrate our first Quindecennial: a festival that happens once only every 15 years.
We’ve always planned to celebrate this momentous milestone with something special, so here it is…a one off event that condenses everything you love about Sounds into one super-concentrated party. 2018 saw our biggest and best festival to date – this year will see all that action packed into one site, as 1500 people make Salford’s Regent Trading Estate their home at our most ambitious SFTOC to date. For our Quindecennial, we’ve asked 15 of our favourite promoters to pick their best two acts, which will be brought to you across 5 stages – along with everything else that makes SFTOC the best day of the year, every year.
SFTOC is a festival of music and art, a day of discovery, a community festival in its truest form, bringing Manchester and most importantly Salford together in creating something downright magical and unique to be enjoyed by everyone – whether you are on stage, behind the scenes or soaking it all in from venue to venue with a beer in your hand.
